What to expect

During your Osteopathy appointment, Jenny will look at your body as a whole and will take care to consider your pain and limitations alongside your hopes for the treatment. After a thorough consultation in which the mode of injury will be discussed in depth, a full assessment will be conducted which will include observations of your posture and gait, palpation of any painful areas and in some cases some special clinical testing.

Jenny will discuss her findings with you and offer an approach to treatment. With your consent she will perform a range of techniques to your joints and muscles to restore functionality and give the body the best chance to heal. Jenny will often prescribe strengthening or mobility exercises to support your recovery and rehabilitation.

As well as treating pain and injuries, Jenny can also help you maintain health and movement with preventative treatments and support you managing health conditions, including rheumatological conditions, chronic injuries and degenerative conditions.

You may be required to dress down so please do bring along shorts and or a vest with you to your appointment.

If you would like to discuss Osteopathy with Jenny prior to booking please fill out the contact form on the Contact page and Jenny will get back to you.
